What is your past experience with designing/directing for theatre, and what has been your favourite previous project?
I last directed Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat for Secondary Characters and it will always remain a favourite experience of mine. The cast and crew became a family and it showed in the work and the performance. I think once you sweat that much as group, there's no secrets.
What was your first show ever?
My first show ever was The Wizard of Oz. I was in grade 3 and I tried out for the Scarecrow. I got the part of Emerald City Chorus and I still remember the dance.
What is your favourite musical of all time, and why?
This is the hardest question and it changes so often. I like musicals for many different reasons. Sometimes I see a musical for the amazing score or dancing. Sometimes I go to a musical because I love the story and I want to walk out of a theatre thinking differently from when I walked in. And sometimes I just want to be entertained!
I will always have a special place in my heart for CATS as that was my first professional show and that started my love of musical theatre. Thank you Mom and Dad.
