Welcome to Secondary Characters Jim! What are you looking forward to in your role as Narrator?
I'm looking forward to playing the Narrator as he's the character who ties the story together, and he’s far different from any other character that I’ve played before. Having seen several of Secondary Characters’ productions in the past, and having worked with several of the cast and crew in other shows, I’m excited to be taking on a new challenge with such a talented and dedicated group of people. After 40 years of Gilbert and Sullivan, this is definitely taking me out of my comfort zone!
What other productions have you been involved with recently?
I’ve been in Kamloops for the past few years, but after returning to the lower mainland last summer, I had the opportunity to be involved in FVGSS’s Christmas pantomime, The Princess and the Frog. Prior to that, in 2011 I was the artistic director of the Pirates of Penzance with the Chilliwack Opera Troupe, and played Underling in The Drowsy Chaperone with Chilliwack Players Guild.
What do you do when you’re not working on a production?
When I’m not working on a show, I am employed as the business manager at Autoworld in Langley. I like spending time with my family and am involved in my church.
